Information used by the app
Ask the Orb selects replies on your device. The question you have in mind is not captured by the app, and you do not need to create an Ask the Orb account.
The app stores recent replies and their dates, your preferences and information needed to apply the daily answer limit on your device. You can delete individual replies or clear History. Depending on your device settings, some locally stored app data may be included in system backups.
If you share a reply, its text and date are passed to the sharing option you select. If you send it to another app or service, that provider handles the information under its own privacy policy.
The app uses device motion for the orb’s visual effects and shake interaction. Spoken answers use text-to-speech; the app does not record your voice.
Analytics and crash reports
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used. Information can include screen views, sessions, app interactions, device and app details, approximate location, an identifier assigned to an installation of the app and, where available and permitted, device identifiers.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve app reliability. Reports can include crash details, the app’s state when a crash occurs, device and operating system information and installation identifiers. Reports may also include recent app interactions that help explain what happened before a crash.
These services process information outside your device. For more information, see Firebase’s privacy information and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Advertising
We use Google AdMob to display ads. Google’s advertising SDK may process IP addresses, device or app identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic and performance information to provide ads, measure their performance and help prevent fraud.
Google Analytics for Firebase event data may also be shared with AdMob to personalize ads, subject to your privacy settings and consent where required.
Where Apple requires tracking permission, access to the advertising identifier and tracking across other companies’ apps and websites depend on your permission. If permission is not granted, the app requests non-personalized ads. Non-personalized ads can still involve data processing for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
You can manage tracking permission in your device’s privacy settings. This setting does not turn off all analytics or crash reporting. Purchasing Remove Ads removes advertising; it does not disable Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.

Purchases
Apple processes in-app purchases through the App Store. The app uses purchase and entitlement information to unlock and restore purchased features. We do not receive your payment card details through the app.
Service providers
We share information with the providers described in this policy for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, purchases and website hosting. We require third parties with whom we share information to provide at least the same level of protection described in this policy.
Support and website visits
If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request and resolve the issue.
The website is hosted on Firebase Hosting. Google processes visitor IP addresses to deliver the site and help detect abuse. See Firebase’s privacy information.
Retention and deletion
Recent replies remain in History until you delete them or they are replaced as the history fills. Clearing History removes those entries from the app; it does not delete data held by analytics, advertising or backup services.
We keep support correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Analytics and advertising retention depends on the relevant service’s rules and the settings used for this app. Google states that Crashlytics starts deleting crash data and associated identifiers after 90 days, and that Firebase Hosting retains visitor IP addresses for a few months.
To ask about information associated with your use of Ask the Orb, or to request access, correction or deletion where applicable, email aeyonapps@gmail.com. Explain your request without including passwords or payment details. We may need further information to identify the relevant records. Requests involving information controlled by Apple or Google may also need to be directed to that provider.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The revised policy will be published here with an updated date.
